On the 11th of May, to mark Mother’s Day, all the ladies of Thembalami and MODA care centre were treated to a special tea.
Pastor John Nel gave a sermon about women in the Bible and the important roles they played. He also spoke about the importance of mothers in society and everything that they do. He really made the ladies feel special and empowered.
The residents and members of the outreach programme were served tea, coffee and baked goods made by the staff. The members of the service centre then sang songs in celebration of women and mothers.
The occupational therapy department also made cards for each lady and little presents which made them feel even more special.
