A happy afternoon was enjoyed on July 26 when the 1st St Benedict’s Pack Scouts visited Rand Aid’s Thembalami Care Centre.
The children and residents tucked into the sweet treats that were provided by the scouts and enjoyed board and card games in the sunny dining room.
A donation of colourful beanies was made by the Scouts which Thembalami’s Elize Raath says will be most welcome on icy winter days.
“It is wonderful to see how the residents warm up towards the children and how sweet the children are with the elders – they are always eager to assist where they can,” says Elize.
“We always love our visits from St Benedict’s.”
