Inyoni Creek resident Neil Munro with Modderfontein Reserve parkrun’s Wayde Morsink before the start of Neil’s 100th parkrun on Saturday, August 31. In 2010, Neil could hardly walk and needed two full knee replacements. He became part of the parkrun initiative in 2017 and today his knees are like well-oiled machines. Neil ran his 50th parkrun in September 2018 and ran at his 50th parkrun venue on August 24, a week before completing his 100th run.
Neil Munro had the support of loved ones when he completed his 100th parkrun in August 2019. Pictured with Neil (second from the right) are Rob Gair, Gillian Ripley (Neil’s daughter who has done 120+ runs), Lu Gair and Maxine Ripley (his granddaughter, who has done 60+ runs).
… and here comes Marinda
The deputy manager of Inyoni Creek, Marinda Looyen (on right, in black), is 23 parkruns behind Neil. She completed her 77th while on holiday in Stellenbosch, when she did the beautiful Root 44 event.
