Cubs bring Christmas cheer to Thembalami

Old and young mingled merrily on Saturday, November 26, when the First Edenvale Cubs visited Rand Aid’s Thembalami Care Centre, singing carols and sharing delicious cupcakes. “The residents loved that the children socialised with them. It was heartwarming to see children of this age already reaching out to older persons, some of whom are sometimes forgotten by society,” says Elize Raath, Thembalami’s manager. Pictured is Caitlynn Switala with a delicious offering of cupcakes.

Adele Gilmour chats to Kirstynn Switala (standing) and Elle-Renée Tchalieu. Also at the table are Betty Ross and David van Rensburg.
